Bio

Stanek is relatively new to Lutheran Lakeside Camp and the Okoboji area. He began working at Lakeside December 1, 2007 as the Program Director and has had an awesome time being a part of such an amazing group of people.

Before Stanek was with Lakeside he worked in California with Lutheran Retreats Camps and Conferences as the Program Director at Camp Yolijwa. While at Yolijwa he oversaw the direction of an on-site residential camping program as well as Beach Camp and Kern River Rafting Camp programs. He was a contributor in the organizations development of Outdoor Education as well as the resident blacksmith.

Stanek also enjoyed a very long football career that extended through college and into graduate school. He played every positon on the offensive line as well as fullback in his 4 year career at Northern State University from 2001-2005. After graduating from college he opted to stay on with his alma and was the Film Coordinator and Assistant Offensive Line Coach for the Wolves during their 2006 campaign.

During his time in college his summers were designated to working at camp Nesodak near Waubay, SD. He spent 5 summers on the staff there.
