A Brief DescriptionJoin Lutheran Lakeside Camp on a journey across country to the lovely Holden Village Retreat Center. Lutheran Lakeside will take care of all the travel arrangements and reservations, all you need to do is arrive at camp and bring spending money for optional events and souvenirs!
All guests joining us on this most excellent expedition will meet at camp and from there we will travel by motor coach to the Amtrak Station in Minneapolis, MN. From Minneapolis, MN we will be taking the train to Holden Village. On our way there will be a stop at Glaciar Park which will be an excellent time to take advantage of some of their excellent recreational opportunities! About Holden VillageHolden Village is surrounded by the indescribable beauty of God's creation. Hiking and fishing are world class and Holden's facilities include a sauna, children's playground, bookstore, post office, ice cream snack bar, museum, library, pool hall, and bowling! Guests are housed in rooms accommodating 2-4 people, each with a sink. Bathrooms are down the hall and Family Rooms are available.
Meals are served family style and Holden is famous for its homemade soups and fresh bread. The Holden Kitchen will be serving up three solid meals a day (I cant wait!). Holden Village is home to many creative arts and activities. There may be opportunities for basket weaving, making pottery, paper making, painting, and an abundance of other activities that may be offered by visiting artists! Christ is the focal point of life at Holden Village. Each day is framed by worship, prayer, and Christian Fellowship.
