Designated Gifts

You can give a gift that you want to use on a specific project or purchase. If there is a part of camp you care deeply for, just let us know, and we’ll put your gift towards improving, maintaining, or creating that part! Some designated gifts have been for sailing needs, craft projects, building repairs, bikes, and other camper activities.

Thrivent Choice Dollars

Thrivent members get Choice Dollars that they can designate to a non-profit of their choice. We make good use of these dollars when we receive them by helping support program or property needs. Log in to your Thrivent account and designate your dollars today.

Thrivent Action Team Cards

Every Thrivent member can get 1-2 action cards a year that are worth $250 each. These cards can be used for collecting items to donate to camp, fundraisers to help off-set the cost for campers, service days at camp, and even to support a day of camp. If you would like to use your Thrivent Action Card for Lakeside, our office can help you with the process. Just give us a call. For more information, visit
https://www.thrivent.com/making-a-difference/living-generously/thrivent-action-teams/

Action cards in 2021 provided first aid supplies, staff shirts, youth kayaks, life jackets, craft supplies, paint, kitchen supplies, new lights and beds for retreat buildings, and much more!

Your Thrivent Card could help purchase discs for the disc golf course, fishing equipment, life jackets, stamps, office supplies, and any other wish list item you can dream of.

Sponsor a CAMPER!

Sponsor a CAMPER! Every child deserves to experience the BEST WEEK EVER. A week at camp provides unique opportunities that build confidence, life skills, problem solving, teamwork, communication, faith formation, and more. Unfortunately, not every child can afford a week at camp. The true cost of camp is $982 per camper each week, through our donors and other income we can give every camper over $400 off their week to make it more affordable.

If you want to help sponsor the remaining amount to make sure EVERY child can attend camp, please make a donation today and select camp scholarship before completing your donation and we’ll make sure to apply it to a camper who needs financial assistance to have the BEST WEEK EVER! Any camper who contacts the office, seeking assistance, gets a scholarship to attend, and you can make sure we never have to limit who we help.

Sponsor a Summer Staff!

Working at camp is the hardest and most rewarding job a young adult can take on. They work hard and provide quality programming and care for campers for 5 straight days and nights. 76% of church leaders in America say they experience outdoor ministry before taking their call. We have several past staff in seminary right now!

We don’t want, working at camp, to mean, making a sacrifice though, so we have decided to pay staff a living wage. This means we will attract more quality staff, they will be enticed to work more years, and while I don’t believe we could ever pay them enough it will be closer to what they deserve. Your donation to support higher wages for summer staff will allow us to continue rewarding young adults for the priceless ministry they are providing.

Prayers

Regardless of what other contributions you can provide, we hope you’ll consider keeping our staff, ministry partners, guests, campers, and overall ministry in your prayers.
