F.A.Q.

What is the maximum capacity?

The inside reception space has a capacity of 200 (including wedding party) and the outside space can fit 300+. Outdoor seating is limited to benches or you can rent your own chairs.

Is Alcohol allowed?
Yes. You do have to follow all laws regarding alcohol. This means if you are selling alcohol you need a liquor license. You can hire bartenders who have these. We do not provide this. If you have an open bar you are not required to get  a license. As the person hosting the event you are responsible for any underage or dangerous drinking so we recommend having someone monitor the bar and check ID. 
How do we officially reserve our date?

When the details have been worked out you reserve the space by giving contact information and putting a credit card on file. There is a no-cancellation policy within 6 months of the event. Payment is due at the time of arrival or before. You’ll receive an email invoice and reservation confirmation.

1 Day Events will have limited availability. 

Can we hire our choice of caterer/vendor/DJ?

Yes of Course. We do not limit your choices and respect that every couple does things differently.

Do you provide sound equipment and speakers?

For outdoor ceremonies, speeches, dances, and amplified music, your entertainment or DJ will need to provide their own equipment. If you have a DJ they will likely provide one for indoor use but we do have a system (projector, speakers, & microphone) you can rent from us for a $75 add on fee.

Will Lakeside staff be involved?

Our staff does not set up or tear down for your event, but our staff will regularly check bathrooms and be on call to ensure your guests have a good time and to handle any unexpected emergencies.

Where is the nearest hotel or accommodations?

The nearest accommodations would be the lodging we have right here on site from modern large lodging facilities to cabins to camping. However, there are also a lot of hotels and VRBO’s in the area.

Can we do our rehearsal dinner and set up décor the day before our wedding?

Yes with all of our packages you get the event space for your rehearsal dinner at no additional charge. You get access to the event space at 3:00 PM on Friday – 11:00 AM on Sunday. During off season, you can add the full Friday/Sunday (if available) for an additional charge(s).

Are Candles/Fireworks allowed?

Lit candles are not allowed. You can use sparklers outside if you pick up all the sticks. Fireworks are not allowed.  

Do we have to have insurance?

We do not require you to get insurance, but we do recommend it. As the host you  are responsible for any accidents or incidents that are a result of your event. 

Do you have a tent we can use or rent?

We do not have a tent. You are able to rent them elsewhere and bring and assemble them.

Can we get picked up from a boat for photos?

Yes! We have two docks they can pick you up on – the one that works best is over by the boat house and the campfire area.

Can we take the golf cart around the property for our couple portraits to avoid getting dirty?

Of course! It is $100 to rent the golf cart for just Saturday or if you would like to use it over the entire weekend it is $200.
