Health and Safety Update
Our first priority for all our guests is safety. We will follow and enforce all guidelines put in place by the Iowa Public Health and Iowa Governor. If your gathering or event contradicts their guidelines, please contact us so we can reschedule.
If you have questions about an event you have scheduled with us please contact us at
For the health and safety of our staff, guests, and community we have closed all our communal spaces for the summer. These closed spaces include the rec rooms, barn, pool, and bike shed. Guests can use the recreational spaces like trails, fields, and basketball courts. We ask that all guests provide their own supplies like bikes and balls. Please review our health and safety guidelines for a full list of the changes we've made.
We are equipped to handle any type of retreat from one day to week long events for all sizes of groups. Whether you are a men's group, woman's group, religious organization, sports team, class mates, quilters, fishermen, pastors, non profit organization, college group, service group, or a combination we would love to help you have the best possible retreat experience.
Retreat groups have a variety of housing options, large group gathering spaces, and access to our 110 acre property and camp wide activities. Lakeside provides the perfect environment to unplug and connect to each other. You'll find our peaceful scenery to be a great place to relax, plan, organize, reflect, learn, grow, recharge and to develop skills, teamwork, communication, and problem solving.
We can provide as much facilitation or as little facilitation that your group requires. We've had retreat groups simply rent our spaces and plan everything on their own, other groups have had us facilitate everything from meals, schedules, planning, and registering guests, and we've had groups do everything in between. We are very flexible and are willing to work with individual groups based on their needs and interests.
We are capable of facilitating meals, worship, team building, chaperones, environmental education, service projects, bible study, and activities like rock climbing, zip lining, canoeing, paddle boarding, low ropes challenge course, escape room, and the pool.
Every group is greeted at arrival in person and welcomed by their host who is available during the duration of the retreat.
If you have an upcoming retreat or would like to start planning one please contact us for options, cost, availability, and/or a tour of our facilities.
