Follow kitchen safety protocols, policies, and procedures

Assist the cooks as instructed

Arrive for assigned kitchen shifts on time and with a positive attitude

Work efficiently, in a timely manner

Supervise morning shower duty as assigned

Support other camp staff in their needs and duties

Clean high-traffic areas, like bathrooms and showerhouses

On-site Counselor

Day Camp Counselor (Off-site)

Supervising campers in your group during day camp hours

Leading group games, bible studies, and crafts

Assisting in worship leading, including teaching songs

Maintaining camper safety at all times

Day Camp Coordinator (Off-site)

Have a government issued driver's license and clean driving record

Have plenty of energy and enthusiasm for travel

Have a genuine interest in people, relating positively to and listening to individuals 

Able to communicate with all ages

Responsibilities

Maintain the safety of campers and staff while off-site

Implement and enforce our newest covid-19 protocols for travel, off-site programs, and host homes

Interact with host families appropriately, courteously, and graciously

Lead all worships, all camp activities, crafts, and other all group activities throughout each week

Manage and supervise Lakeside staff, church volunteers, and church staff

Debrief each day with your day camp team, including prayer and optional devotionals

Meet one on one with each of your Lakeside staff once weekly

Check-in with the Program Director mid-week

Health Coordinator

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older OR have 1 summer of camp experience

Must either be a certified CNA, RN, LPN, EMT, or Wilderness First Aid certified (or able and willing to become certified)

Have a personal faith in Christ and a willingness to share your faith with others

Willing to teach and learn from children, youth, and adults

Have a genuine interest in people, relating positively to and listening to individuals 

Able to communicate with all ages

Willing to be a positive remodel for children and summer staff

Able to work well and communicate with others 

Open to being spontaneous, enthusiastic and willing to learn

Have excellent organizational skills

Experience with Google spreadsheets

Experience with managing money, retail, or food service is preferred.

Responsibilities

Spot check for communicable diseases 

Distribute Medications as scheduled and keep accurate records of medication distribution 

Care for injuries or illness

Document all incidents and accidents on an incident and accident report form  

Carry a cell phone at all times to use in emergencies 

Notify the Program Director when camper is ill or incurs an injury, so he/she can notify the camper’s parents/guardians

Travel with campers to hospital as necessary

Help implement our newest covid-19 protocols 

Manage the Canteen

Lead worship and other camp activities

Waterfront Coordinator

Must be lifeguard certified (or able and willing to become lifeguard certified)

Have a personal faith in Christ and a willingness to share your faith with others

Willing to teach and learn from children, youth, and adults

Able to communicate with all ages

Willing to be a positive remodel for children and summer staff

Able to work well and communicate with others

Supervising and training staff to work at the waterfront

Ensuring safety of staff and campers at the waterfront, while ensuring all rules and regulations are followed while these facilities are in use

Ensuring that all waterfront equipment is kept in its best condition

Adventure Coordinator

Media Intern

Requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older

Must have an interest in photography, videography, and/or marketing

Experience in photography and/or videography is preferred.

Experience with & access to editing software is preferred.

 

Responsibilities

Take photos throughout each week of the campers, staff, and guests in various activities

Take a photo of each cabin group at the beginning of each week and document the names of each person in the photo

Take videos of campers, staff, and guests in various activities throughout each week

Record videos of camper, staff, and guest interviews each week

Create a weekly slideshow of the photos taken throughout each week

Work with the Program Director to distribute and/or sell the photos taken each week on Fridays

Create a minimum of 1 (up to 3) blog posts each week.

Post 1-6 times on Lakeside’s various social media outlets each week

Create a staff recruitment promotional video by the end of the summer

Create at least 1 camper promotional video by the end of the summer

Take family photos during family camp

Travel to nearby off-site day camps to take additional photos and videos, when possible

Program Intern

Demonstrate excellent organizational and managerial skills

Worship and music skills highly desirable

Experience in coaching, teaching, or training (preferred)

Responsibilities

The Program Intern would assist the Program Director in the creation, design, and management of all programmatic offerings year-round. It is both a leadership position and apprenticeship, an opportunity to grow in your faith, management skills, and career development all while being a vital part of others' faith formation. Responsibilities will vary depending on experience, skills of the individual, as well as the areas in which that individual wants to grow. Possible responsibilities may include: 

- Assisting with summer staff training

- Assisting with the development of policies and procedures

- Supervising, disciplining, coaching, and advocating for the summer staff

- Leading off-season programs, like retreats, field trips, worships, etc.

- Assisting with staff and camper recruitment

- Assisting with the hiring process for summer staff

- Assisting with behind-the-scenes work throughout the summer season (set up, tear down, problem-solving, etc.)

- Assisting with hospitality as needed
